Mystics throughout history have used erotic language to attempt to describe the ecstasy of union with the Divine. Many religious traditions use tools that delight the senses, such as incense, candlelight, and beautiful architecture, to aid spiritual focus. This blog is dedicated to the enjoyment of that beauty and richness.

Though the modern world would have us believe otherwise, the sublime can indeed be sexy.

You'll notice a focus on Christianity, because that's what I'm most familiar with; however, I try to include material from a variety of traditions. What you won't find here is anything I deem genuinely disrespectful or offensive towards any group or tradition.
